[和訳] Thriller – Michael Jackson
みなさんこんにちは！
今日は1982年リリース、マイケル・ジャクソンのメガヒット曲となった「Thriller」の和訳を載せさせて頂きます！
この曲はPVもかなり評価された作品なので、日本でもかなりPVのイメージを持たれている方は多いかと思います。
実際僕もPVやダンスのイメージが強く、今まであまり真面目に曲を聴いたり歌詞の意味について考えた事はありいませんでしたので、ホラー映画やその世界観が苦手な僕には若干取っ付きにくい印象でしたがちゃんと聴いてみるとめっちゃかっこいいことに気付き、最近ではすっかり頭の中でヘビロテしてます^ ^
歌詞＆和訳

出だしからホラーの世界観MAXでしたが、終盤に近づいてくると
「Girl, I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try（なぜなら僕はどんな魔物よりも君をゾクゾクさせることができるから）」のあたりからなんだかラブソングっぽい雰囲気に。
そしてその後はホラーとラブソングを上手く掛け合わせたような構成で、メガヒットの理由が分かる面白さだと思いました^ ^
ちなみに終盤に出てくる歌詞「The funk of forty thousand years（4万年分の悪臭だよ）」の”funk”とはファンクミュージックの意味もあるのですが、アメリカの俗語として”悪臭”という意味もあるようです。
他にも”臆病者”などの意味もあるそうです。
そしてこの曲の収録されたアルバム「Thriller」は全世界歴代売り上げ1位というやばい記録を持っているようです^ ^
